The Roper boys have two yard care jobs in the neighborhood that they do every Saturday. It usually takes them about an hour per yard. Well, they're at Youth Conference this week, so I did their yard care jobs for them. Took me four hours. The heat index is 104. Even though I was resting about 10 min ever...

Is it possible to multiply and replenish the earth without having children of your own? Also it is a commandment to sealed couples, right, but could single members of the church attempt such a thing? Or would that be a silly thing to attempt without a spouse? --Ray

New First Presidency member... · Cocobeem

So... is it too soon to start taking guesses at who's going to be the new member of the First Presidency? Do you think we'll find out at the Oct. conference?

Yesterday, I taught the 11-12 year old primary/sundayschool class. While I was teaching I noticed that one of the boys laughed at the other when they would answer the questions seriously or had been asked to say a prayer. Sometimes one would attempt to ask a question put to them in the lesson, and they...

Here are the 7 deadly sins... Listed in the same order used by both Pope Gregory the Great in the 6th Century AD, and later by Dante Alighieri in his epic poem The Divine Comedy, the seven deadly sins are as follows: Luxuria (extravagance, later lust), Gula (gluttony), Avaritia (greed), Acedia (sloth...

Watching the Narnia movie. I find the part where the white witch comes for Edmond, after Aslan's forces rescued him to be most stirring. She demands Edmond is hers because he's a traitor. And Aslan arranges a deal in which the white witch is satisfied. The people rejoice, and the white witch says, &quo...

Just out of curiosity, I'd like a wide view of how people generally feel about mothers breastfeeding their babies in church. I don't want my reason for this poll to color the answers, so I'll post that later. Thanks! -- Edited by Jen at 11:40, 2007-08-04

I was reading a book where part of the plotline involved surrogacy and I got to wondering what the Church's stance on having a surrogate was. I tried a search, but all I got was hits on adoption. Anyone have any light to shed on this topic?

I was going to put this little story in the Family History Chuckles, but it's really not something to chuckle over. How are you teaching the Home Teaching message for August? Anyone? I'm kinda at a loss, right now.
