What are some of the things you and your spouse do to work toward partnership and unity in marriage?
Sister Roper and I worked in the yard together this evening. She used the lawnmower for the first time in her whole life. She was really cute, gingerly pushing it along, as if fearing to damage the grass. I was in the zone with the Weedeater.

We have whole conversations where one of us does all the talking and the other listens... This exercise has been a real eye opener for both of us, and we have gotten to know a lot of really interesting things. When you aren't getting any feedback it is different and somewhat difficult to carry a conversation for very long... As a listener, it is a intriguing and challenging to keep yourself completely silent...
MrCoco and I did yardwork over the weekend, too. I did rose and shrub pruning and he did mowing and spreading of wood chips. We like soooo bonded!
Seriously, we get along like buddies and I haven't truly given thought to the idea of "becoming partners" much... cuz it's just "there." Great topic, but I guess I don't have much to contribute...

Watching my nieces and nephews choose and marry their companions, and having worked through some issues in my own marriage, I appreciate more and more the importance of being equally yoked.
