I think America's greatest flaw in the world, is the tendency we have to buy first, ask questions later. I honestly don't mind that we purchase cheaper goods from other countries, and I'm grateful we live in a time when the whole world is benefited by the largess of our nation, but when we purchas...

I just had to brag.

We got early mail-in ballots because there's no way I'm dragging myself anywhere 5 days after having a baby. So, yeah for me and my civic duty. And it only took me 2 1/2 hours...silly me and actually reading the issues...

Aaron Russo, director of such major Hollywood films as "Trading Places" (which I'm sure none of us have seen, since it is rated R

What do you guys make of this fellow? He kind of flew in at the right time in Illinois, running virtually unopposed in 2004, and now he's like an up and coming star. I consider myself a reluctant-Republican and I fear what would happen if another Democrat got elected to the White Hou...

There was a discussion on that other forum about whether it would be a good idea to arm teachers. I didn't get into the discussion much because emotions were running strong. I had decided not to repeat the discussion in Bountiful, because I try not to compete with that other site. However, someone forw...

Do you ever boycott a company or product? What would it take for you to boycott a product? For instance, many Christians right now are boycotting Ford because of Ford targetting gays with their advertising. There are those who boycott diamonds because the proceeds support wars and oppressions in Af...

I got my sample ballot in the mail recently, and I discovered that my county is now using electronic voting machines. I must say that I'm really unhappy about that fact. I know for a fact how easy it is to fool those machines, and how impossible it is to recover an accurate vote count afterwards. I'm not ba...

Last week my wife was discussing to me on the tremendous evil feeling she had regarding a medication once given to her (to make a long story short, suffice it to say she has a prophetic gift that has been proven many times in the past). The medication was Lunesta - a sleep aid. She wanted me to do so...

Maybe I'm off base about this, but I'm getting really tired of products, signs in stores, etc. all being labeled in both English and Spanish. Even if you're here legally and are entitled to stay, assimilate into the culture! When I went on my mission, I didn't expect everyone to learn English i...

If the prophet told the general membership of the church, in General Conference, that we should not back Immigration reform and the root of the policies were based upon selfishness and racism, would you heed his words?
