I heard some news at my mission reunion about the Ukraine Kiev temple. Now, I believe this info to be true, and coming from my former mission president who is still actively involved in the church's affairs in Ukraine, I believe it to be authoritative. But still, take every bit of this with a 25 lb bag of s...

Do any of you have any special memories there? When I was 11 years old I sang in a Primary chorus for "primary conference" in the tabernacle it was fun. As a youth I would travel with my father to conference. It was fun to travel the 60 miles to the north and feel the spirit of conference...

How much of a responsibility do we have, as LDS, to work out and keep the fat off? The Lord says moderation in all things, but you don't necessarily just get fat by eating tons of twinkies. You can get fat on a fairly normal diet if you have a sedentary lifestyle, so it's not necessarily excess tha...

I suppose because I live west of Mesa I feel a little slighted, I figured I could cut the CD up and use it as decoraton in my garden... that or hang it from my wind chimes... I like the way the Sun shine glistens off of a new CD like that. I imagine there are millions of things you could do with a piece of garb...

Anne Frank's Chestnut Tree Slowly Dying It is important to remember what being immoderate in viewpoints, opinions, and ideology too often leads to. The Savior's simple teaching and commandment of love one another should always be our utmost reason for doing anything.

In a talk in a devotional service this past Wednesday for Church and Family History missionaries, Elder Henry Eyring of the 12 made comments about increasing immigration into America which I hope I understood correctly. He said he had earlier in the day been in a meeting with other General Authorit...

Have you ever felt ashamed to be born into the church (assuming those who respond were, of course)? I was thinking about how Christ's teachings to the Pharisees were directed at the members of the church. So many of us born in the church end up doing sins as wayward as those who wander without it, onl...

Are there invisible people in your ward? People that are always there, but aren't the center of attention, nor in leadership positions, but continue to come each week. They don't bear their testimony with words during testimony meeting, and have served probably in the same calling for yea...

Did anyone catch last month's ensign article about callings and applying the Gospel of Christ to them? It was a really good article, talked very frankly about how we in the church often tend to put experts into calllings, and how that can stagnate our lesser experienced members, if we never give t...

Do you ever feel anger at those who once claimed to have a testimony and then fall away? I know this sounds stupid, and it makes no sense, but sometimes I think I do, and I don't like it, but I feel this jab of annoyance by it all, and it ain't right, cuz honestly I am a fool and a sinner and have no right...

What is it with this attitude, so prevalant among Mormons, that this life is just a bunch of trials you have to endure through until you are safely dead? Isn't life about more than that? Is life really something awful that we have to just get through? I know that life is a "probationary stat...

No this isn't a thread about modesty... instead it's a thread about that kid who brings the Bo Staff to ward and stake dances and does his martial arts routines to the groovy music. We have been warned and forewarned. The Parable of Thaddeus Thaddeus heard a voice one evening as he was lying upon his bed. It was the voice of the Lord.
