Just got my first teenager
(Preview)
My oldest turned 13 yesterday. I am definitely starting to feel my own mortality. Plus, he is in my Sunday school class and thinks everything can be made into a joke, I love him and am being driven nuts at the same time. It's funny, he is starting to like girls, but doesn't want to admit it.

Easter traditions?
(Preview)
What are your Easter traditions? Religious mostly, but also secular. I'd really like to make it the worshipful holiday that it should be. Our ward does a community/neighborhood easter egg hunt every year. I'm on the activities committee. It's a huge undertaking. We'll probably do about 4,000 eggs...

Warring with that stubborn child...

What do you do if your child so stubbornly refuses to do her homework that she'd rather come home from school and spend the rest of the day in her bed, rather than do it? She would rather sleep all day long, and she's only seven! Can little kids be clinically depressed? --Ray

Do you get to do any holiday dressing up?
(

(Preview)
I don't think I'll make it to the company party this year. I like going though, and getting all decked out. If you have something to dress up for, what are you wearing? If not, what would you wear if you were? I think I'll do some virtual pretend shopping anyway. Join me?

What do you do with one year olds?

Anyone out there have any ideas what to do with an active one year old? I have a boy and maybe I've just forgotten the last four at this age, or perhaps we've just gotten used to having things more orderly, but this guy goes from cupboard to cupboard pulling out all the dishes, and anytime there's a door lef...

What is with game makers, why do they not always allow the cheats?
(Preview)
It drives me nuts that game makers for PC games and such do not allow cheats. Why do they care? I love SimCity games and such, but I like to create, not balance budgets and such. If there is a cheat, it is often cumbersome and not useable, drives me crazy. Playing others on the Internet, I hate cheaters...
