Moderation Process
Permalink Closed

Moderation in Bountiful is accomplished by several moderators. If you disagree with the action of any one moderator, please either contact another moderator to help you resolve the issue, or start a public discussion in the Moderation area.

If requested by the complaining party, a panel of moderators can review the decision of the moderator in question. The decision of the majority of that panel will be final.

Moderators will strive to, in most cases, address issues privately with the person who the moderator feels acted incorrectly. Exceptions will take place in situations where the need of moderation is urgent (such as posting someone's private identity) or where the issue has already become the subject of public discussion and so can't be resolved privately.

If a post or thread has been, in your opinion, deleted incorrectly, please feel free to request its reinstatement. Deleted posts can be restored. Edited contents cannot be.

Not everyone understands and interprets the rules in the same way. Not even the moderators. Feel free to bring up rules issues in this forum, or ask for clarification.

If you would like to ask for a rule to be changed or added, please request it in this forum.

This set of rules is a stark departure from previous rules, and is intended to eschew the conflict that has been the result of the previous process. If you are unhappy with this new process, or wish the restoral of the old process, please discuss it in the Moderation Discussions area.
