...that I'm tired of Sarah Palin (my wife loves her, and for for pretty justifiable reasons that I may explain later).
As a conservative who tends to vote Republican, I thought at first she was a breath of fresh air and a potential Presidential candidate. I knew about her long before she was a VP candidate for McCain. But as I look at the cult of personality syndrome which propelled an unprepared and underqualified Obama to the White House, I must wonder if the same thing may not be happening with Palin and her supporters. She definitely has more executive experience than Obama had. I could be dead wrong and she may be the next Reagan.
But as I watch her interviews and read excerpts from her book, I see a lot of whining. Of course the media is crucifying her and her family; what did she honestly expect? Her book seems to be a lot of "not my fault" anecdotes. I probably should read it first before I say anything else.
I don't know, am I out of line here? Are there any Palin fans who need to correct me? I just can't shake the feeling she's kind of a shallow prospect for US President.
First off, I don't consider Fregamis out of line for expressing his opinion about any political candidate, whatever that opinion may be.
Secondly, he seems to have done some "homework" and studied enough about her to offer a valid opinion of her.
Having said that, I also find her a shallow prospect for US President. But that may be because she did not tell me, at least, enough about her core beliefs on matters and issues that are important to me. Among all Republican candidates for President, in my book she came in a distant second to Ron Paul, but way ahead of the other Republican candidates. And going into the November 2008 elections I was almost totally consumed with my own campaign and that of Chuch Baldwin.
