I know a guy that, up until recently, managed a car dealership. He said that towards the end of his time there, he helped someone buy a car that had really good credit and a respectable income. His credit score was pretty much perfect. But the first two banks he applied to for a car loan turned him down before one approved him. I'm thinking that, for myself, I'll save up to buy something used instead of trying to get a car loan.
