From November 4 to January 21

Assuming Obama wins the Presidency ( a very high probability at this point) what do you plan on doing differently?  Buying a gun, or a better gun?  Skipping Christmas and stocking food and gasoline? Go to Disneyland?

Just curious.

Probably the same stuff we did when Clinton was elected, which was status quo. And the same stuff we'll do no matter who is elected.

So what's going to change?  Both John McCain and Barack Obama endorsed and lobbied for the $700 billion Wall Street bailout.  Both McCain and Obama will continue to bail out these international bankers at the expense of the American taxpayers.  Both McCain and Obama support giving illegal aliens amnesty and a path to citizenship.  Both McCain and Obama have expressed support for sending U.S. forces around the world for "peacekeeping" purposes (actually for control of oil and pipe line routes).  They have also expressed support for sending combat forces against foreign countries even if those countries do not pose a threat to the United States.  Both will continue to support NAFTA, CAFTA, GATT,  WTO, the NAFTA superhighway,  the North American Union and eventual global government, a.k.a the New World Order.   Both would let the Federal Reserve continue to counterfeit our money and dilute its purchasing power.  Both Obama and McCain support the United Nations as it seeks increasing authority over our own U.S. government.   And both have demonstrated hostility to our right to private posession of guns.  That is about the only thing Bush has been careful about.   So regardless of which of these puppets ends up in the White House (notice I didn't say "gets elected") Satan will continue to rule as far as the Lord allows him to, and we can expect more intrusion into our lives, devaluation of our money, a lower standard of living, more wars, continued or increasing distortion of world events by the mainstream news media, and more people begging for government intervention, which is just what the globalists want.

Jen is right in that we shouldn't do anything in panic, or go into debt for preparations, or stuff like that. Anything that we've been commanded to do already will be sufficient to get you through whatever is to come. Food supply, get out of debt, etc. In fact, if it's even possible, they've been stressing food storage even more in my ward lately.
But, that said, I think that the question is a valid one. What am I going to do during that period? Get more "nice to haves" for my storage and preparations. Have a modest Christmas so that there is more money for things that would be good to have, but are not strictly commanded. Mirk has posted lists occassionally of stuff like that

I'm focusing on the "three month supply" of stuff that is more "normal" than beans and wheat bread. Each week I buy stuff like canned soups. I guess that's just my timing -- not so much the countdown until Obama is in.

Also, I'll be buying some more ammo - but again, just my own thoughts spurring this, not the election or Biden's remark on a generated catastrophe.

I won't be pursuing that extra degree and attempting to further my career, because I'm basically at the top of the poor folk, and if I earn more, I'll end up paying more taxes.

Actually, I guess I'm in a higher bracket, but pay enough tithing, and fork over enough of my paycheck into the 401K, to keep my net pay low.

That's about it - just apathy over my chances to improve my financial situation through work. I don't figure rocks will fall out of the sky. I'm optimistic that when our enemies test him out enough, he'll eventually take substantive internationally-sanctioned steps. Geopolitics could get really interesting, but then again, they can no matter who the president is.

I'll probably use it as an "excuse" to buy a few more Glock mags and AR mags.
