Basically, if there's an "emergency" they can take whatever. Everything. Anything. Do whatever - send you to go work somewhere and split up families?!? Good grief.
I don't know what was going on in my personal life at the time Katrina and the aftermath was going on, cuz I didn't follow that worth a darn. Can some educated soul please, in a nutshell, sum up for me what FEMA's blunders were during that time? Is Katrina what we can pretty much expect the next time a disaster comes along?
You know, my first reaction to this was, "I need to work at FEMA." Keep your enemies closer, as they say...

Yup, it is quite appalling what they can do, even if it is unconstitutional, of course we learned that with the gun and property confiscations and forced evictions after Katrina in NOLA.
