"The promptings of the Holy Ghost will always be sufficient for our needs if we keep to the covenant path. Our path is uphill most days, but the help we receive for the climb is literally divine." --Elaine S. Dalton
I read the article this morning. It is very good at addressing some of the excuses I have heard. I wish I could get people in our ward more focused on storage and emergency prep. With the military base next door there is a false sense of security. Many folks believe the Navy will be able to take care of them. Getting a sense of urgency is nearly impossible. Our ward emergency preparedness guy has not been to church in years. "Communication specialist? I think that it might be brother Jones." was the answer I got from the bishopric. I gave up and decided to get my own house in order and not worry about the ward.
