Lil Boofer as he will be named in the virtual world (at least until his own personal nickname becomes appearant), arrived at 8:16 a.m. on the 3rd of April, he waited for his daddy to get home, but wasn't going to go through the indignity of being induced, so he started things off by telling his mommy at 3 am that it was time to go.

He weighed 8lbs 12 oz and was 20 inches long.

Mommy and baby are home (just in time for conference) and doing great, hopefully she'll feel up to posting in a day or so.

Well it won't be short (my prior deployments were short six month tours), but it shouldn't be long (only 12 months vs the 15 months or longer that active duty soldiers are getting stuck with), and I am most certainly hoping it will go very, very quickly.
