Friends, after much consideration, I sent the following message to Arbi: Hey Arbi,
Please accept this message as my formal request to delete my membership at Bountiful.I have enjoyed my participation here.I have learned a lot from the members and have gained many new insights on gospel topics.
As I devote more of my time and talents to church and professional responsibilities, I must necessarily curtail my participation in online forums.I will be keeping my membership in only one--a small group of friends. FWIW, I think you have done an admirable job as forum admin.I thank you for your wisdom, patience, and devotion to Bountiful.
To my friends here: Thank you for accepting me as part of this community. Thank you for sharing your perspectives as brothers and sisters. May God bless you in all your righteous endeavors.

I will not only miss seeing those boots, I will miss the perspective you brought to the table. Your wisdom is remarkable.
God speed Roper!

I'm really sorry to see you go, Roper, but I understand. Feel free to come back anytime. I haven't actually deleted your account, I've just changed the password so you can't access it. That removes the temptation for you to just post on one topic, thus getting yourself involved again. But it leaves the option for you to come back if you later decide to.

Roper, I have gained a lot from your fellowship here. I wish you well. I had thought about emailing you for the longest time to let you know that I thought that those pictures with your toddler and the watermelon were so very cute. She is just the most precious girl! Well, I do wish you well! I have enjoyed your experiences as a kindergarten teacher. If you ever write a book with anecdotes or a more research type book, please let us know. Take care!
So after a two-year break, I'd like to participate again, if ya'll will have me back. My schedule has lightened a bit. I've missed the political discussions here. Nauvoo forum, where I participate sporadically, has a prohibition on political discussions.
It looks like some of the old members haven't been active for a while. It looks like there are a few newer members I haven't met yet.
So anyway, Howdy! from Fort Worth, TX.

Good to have you back! Who looks good to you in the 2012 Presidential Election?

Who looks good to you in the 2012 Presidential Election?
Still pretty early to tell.
I liked Ron Paul going into the 08 campaign, but I think he lost credibility because of all the conspiracy theorists that flocked to his campaign. A recent CPAC straw poll has him favored above Romney and Palin, so if he runs, I'll likely vote for him.
So far, I'm not impressed by any of the Libertarian hopefuls.
I'd settle for Romney or Palin if they made it onto the ballot.
I really like Alan Keyes, but I think he's got a snowball's chance.
If the Tea Party movement could coalesce into a more unified force, it could give a lot of clout to a strong third-party candidate.
I've been pleasantly surprised by the number of CP candidates who have done well in local and state races in Utah.
