I edited Ray's post in the Porn thread because it contained a lot of what seemed to me like details of a specific situation, and not an abstraction as is more appropriate to the thread. I will close down the thread if it starts dealing with specific situations.

The hypothetical I gave was what I'd witnessed a close relation do... I am not (to my knowledge) related to anyone that frequents this messageboard).

As per to the person it might pertain, I've never received so much as a blip of conversation or confirmation that such a person had such problems... the reaction is um... suspicious...

Did I say that it was about someone on this messageboard? It just seemed like you were talking about someone's specific situation. There seemed to be a lot of anger in the snipped part, and we shouldn't talk ill of anyone, on this messageboard or off.
I see that I wasn't wrong about it being a specific situation, and that is the sole reason for the moderation. However, I am open to admitting that I was wrong in my action. Please let me know if and why you think it should be restored.

I have a serious question.  I thought that any posts in the moderation thread are supposed to be about the thread topic without the humor/funny-ness, etc.  Other mod threads have gotten shut down due to the humor.  What is different about this thread that it's allowed to have the humor and fun? 
Just trying to get a handle on how things are run....confused
