This is the first time I have ever been tempted to abuse my sacred gift of moderation... It would have been fun to add a 5th choice and repent after...
Yeah, there isn't an option on this poll that I would pick. Iraq and Afghanistan are very dangerous for westerners right now. I know someone who was a civilian contractor over there, and he tells some pretty hair raising stories. The other countries on the list aren't suffering from a lot of internal terrorism as far as I know, but that doesn't mean that I'd feel safe there as an american.

Huh. My wife and I know maybe 3 or 4 people with experience contracting in Iraq. They all tell the same story - their experience in Iraq is one of boring prisoner. Day after day behind the wire, you don't go out, you don't sightsee, you just do your job and fight boredom. Maybe every now and then, one of the BOOMs is a little close and loud, but that's it.
These are infrastructure or medical guys. I don't know any security contractors. I'm sure their stories are nonstop hair raising.

Acts of terrorism are normally perpetrated outside of the country of origin. The exception seems to be mostly Iraq and Afghanistan though in Iraq a lot of terrorism is conducted by Al Qaeda and other foreign forces.
When they abducted those reporters for Fox News in the Palestinian territories simply because they were westerners I figured that being from here and going over there was probably a bad idea.
