According to this article, most "carbon offset" payments really are a very small portion of the budget of a greenhouse gas reducing project, such as a windfarm. But after making their token contribution, they claim 100% of the projected greenhouse gas reductions. So, in other words, it's a sham.

Welcome to the table Arb. I've been saying offsets were a sham for years. It's a way for the elites and rich to get away with poluting while the rest of us have to navigate the archaic maze of regulations and requirements.
