So when a repeat offender who is in the country illegally hurts or kills someone then it is just propoganda of the anti illegal immigration movement to point out that the government failed?  This isn't about race it's about the government failing to protect people from Virginia to New Jersey to California.  Repeat felons in this country illegally.  The government has no clue who is here and they don't seem to care.  Roper, I hope your family is never a victim of these thugs.

Do other crimes happen in this country by legal residents.  Sure but when the government can prevent them from happening shouldn't it?  Someone with a felony should not be let in and someone here illegally with a felony back ground who is picked up by the cops for another crime should never be released on the streets.  Jessica's law can go a long way to stop repeat child rapists but many states still won't pass the tough sentencing laws.  Of course in states like Utah, Idaho, Colorado, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Mexico, and New Jersey there is no Jessica's law.

Maybe the farmer in me just sees this as too simplistic but if you have coyotes breaking into the chicken coop the solution is to get rid of the coyotes not leave the door open for them and institute a catch and release program.

Of course what should we expect from a government and society that allows the weak and innocent to be slaughtered and abused while arguing over universal health care, minimum wage, and Scooter Libby.  Rome is burning and I can hear the fiddle playing.

It is 100% avoidable when you have the guy in custody already and he's already got a rap sheet and he's not here legally. All they had to do was call ICE and the three year old would not have been brutalized. Instead they put him on the street with probation.

A few years ago a girl in a city about an hour away was horribly murdered by a repeat felon.  Her dad was a man named Mike Reynolds.  He made a huge stink about it.  He was told that there was nothing that could be done.  People told him there was no way to prevent it from happening again, blah, blah, blah.  He came up with the three strikes law.  The legislature wouldn't pass it so he went to the people and it passed overwhelmingly via the ballot box.  The naysayers said it would never work.  Violent crime plumitted in this state.  Record amounts of parolees asked to be paroled out of the state.  Repeat offenders moved.  Later he spear headed the drive for the 10-20-Life or Use a gun and your done law.  Thousands of lives have been saved because someone said enough and recognized that you cannot allow thugs to wander our streets to victimize our populace.  The only difference between this and the illegal alien that raped the little girl or the illegal aliens that killed the college kids in New Jersey was that they shouldn't have been able to come here in the first place.  I support legal immigration but criminal illegal alien thugs should never be allowed in.  There should be no MS 13 gangs in America.  Only because the government has failed to protect the people has this been allowed to happen.
