First Presidency August message on preparedness.

In the August Ensign is an insert from the First Presidency that addresses preparedness.  I'm not surprised at this extra push for preparedness.  Among my LDS friends and associates there seems to be a rising concern about preparing for various possible senarios that could make us real glad for whatever level of preparedness we have achieved.  I just put the text of the Danish version on email and sent it to friends and other members in Denmark who we think do not take the Liahona, and to others asking them to pass it along to others.  Perhaps some of you might do the same for members you know who might not get the Ensign.

There will come a time when people will really, really wish that they had listened to the prophets and gotten their year's supply. Now they've even increased the requirements; it's a year's supply of the most basic foods necessary to sustain life, plus 3 months of stuff you normally eat.
