Well, according to the rules, MrHiccups wouldn't be allowed here.

when you sign up, you have to say you're a member of the church. MrHic is not.... yet.

Maybe Arbi could grant a waiver in this case if Mr. Hiccups wanted to participate. Or maybe we could amend the rules to say that if a spouse is a member, then it's okay.

That could be interesting... maybe I'll ask MrHiccups if he's interested.

We've had this question come up before, and well... we decided we needed to maintain the status quo. We would need to talk it over as a moderator group as it would be setting a precedent.

Don't listen to Cat. Status quo...precedents...who cares? If Mr. Hiccups is interested, then I think we should consider it. Again. Maybe it will hasten him getting wet.
Okay, strike that. If he sees the kind of Mormons on Bountiful, he may never want to be assimilated.

LOL, Roper. MrHiccups is such a dry mormon. He goes to church, has a calling, keeps the WoW... Our Bishop is scratching his head over why MrHic hasn't agreed to be dunked.

Well, if he is just an undunked member, he would have my vote...
Hey roper, when you gonna get yer lass to join up? Why even Casi showed up to chat for a few minutes this afternoon dressed as Shiz in Fred Thompson clothing.

Don't give up on him. We had a guy in our ward the same way for over 20 years. Went every sunday with suit, tie, etc. Finally did join. All the kids were grown up and gone with their own families. Now they live in Navoo. My dad still hasn't joined. He reads the church magazines and was even the scoutmaster for our ward. Hasn't joined yet. I sometimes wonder what it will take.
I don't give up. I have it on good authority that he'll join. Other people do wonder sometimes, though.

Lass just doesn't get into the online forum thing. I've asked her a few times, and she just isn't interested. Maybe if i showed her the new chat thing...

Did his family get ripped off when they sold their farm to a Mormon? Did he leave a wedge in a tree? Did the bishop forget to unlock the building for a funeral?
No, Hoss, nothing like that. This is the man who took 3 years to decide to buy a new wallet when I told him his ten years old, falling apart, velcro, painted with palm trees one was about dead. It's only been a year that he's been coming to church every week. I figure he'll decide sometime within the next 10 years.

Just love him, Hick. No saint has more conviction and hope than the one who joins moved by the love that lasts forever. No coercion. No guile. Just Spirit and Pure charity.
Many wait upon the Lord for that calling... eventually he will hear the quietest voice.

Yes, I figured out early on in MrHic's investigation of the church that it is not my job to teach or nag. I try to behave myself ;) and be loving and let the rest be in Heavenly Father's hands.
