Families can be together forever....

On Saturday I will be going through the Temple to receive my endowment.  Then on the 6th, I'll be married for time and all eternity to my very best friend.

You know, this being engaged thing sure makes me think a lot about families.  I mean, my eldest brother and his wife just had a baby, and the brother just older than I is getting married in August.  It's really cool to watch a family grow.  Being a younger child, I don't remember our family growing, so I'm absolutely loving it!  Three new members of our clan in just one summer!  I'd recommend it any day! aww

We have a young couple in our ward getting married and sealed tomorrow as well.

Hmmm... must get wedding present for reception tomorrow...

I'm happy for you, Glumirk!  Which temple?  Mesa?

Congratulations! We really should get Mahonri or Euphie or someone over there to give them a wedding gift. Anyone care to contribute?

I wish I could, but Daughter's best friend is marrying Son1's best friend and I will be busy playing adopted mom of the Bride AND Groom (which is a little weird in itself... giggle.gif) over at the temple on the other side of the state...
If you figure out a way to get a gift together I would love to toss in my twocents.gif

Hey Glum, did you register your wedding at any places like Target? They have an online registration feature...

Hey, ya, if you do that today, I'll buy something and send it to you. Of course, that may involve giving up your internet anonymity, and you may not want to do that.

Wow! Most guys, if they're out somewhere with their wives and they start eyeing girls, would get slapped or at least lectured.

The fact that you'll be eyeing new brides, at the temple, on your anniversary, with your wife present, puts me in awe. worship.gif

eta:  Dang. Ray beat me to it.

Hmmm... the only thing missing now is Coco complaining about the V Secret catalogue...

Actually, if I read it correctly, glumirk isn't getting married tomorrow... she is receiving her endowment. Our dear multi-socked young lady still has one week left in the footloose and fancy free categorization.

It is back in my neck of the woods that there will be a new bride that a Bountifulite has real world association with... and that is me. Unfortunately, we weren't invited to the sealing and so we didn't make plans to go to the temple tomorrow (see back here in the sticks wif dem small temples, ya gots to call and reserves a spot in a session... they don't just likes ya to show up all ad hoc impromptu likes).

Mesa Temple, 3pm Saturday endowment session. I won't be a bride tomorrow, but on Friday the 6th.

We did register at Target, but I'll have to talk to fiance before I disclose any identity. With how much I talk about you guys though, he probably won't mind. I'll have to do it "super secretly" though.

Congratulations! I do think it is neat to see families grow as I have experienced that with my siblings and cousins getting married and some of them having children.

jawdrop.gif Now that's a coinkeedink. I think I was in that VERY SAME SESSION on Saturday. I'm pretty sure it was 3pm. And I haven't been online for the past week, so I didn't even know you were gonna be there. But I always like to glance at all the folks just going through, so I probably looked RIGHT AT YOU. wink.gif

glumirk dear, you know you REALLY do owe all of us a picture of you and your groom (you in your wedding gown, he in his tux) outside the temple WITH those socks on -- and he should have something to match them -- just for fun! biggrin.gif

if you saw curly red hair, in the second row aisle seat...that would be me! And a bunch of family and friends were there too! :) We're going again on Thursday...I don't know how close you are to the Mesa temple, but I'd say in the temple is the safest place to meet an online friend! ;)

Anyway, fiance and I would love to receive a gift from you! We are registered at Target, and you can find the information at target.com.

hmm...I just packed the socks in a suitcase packed full of clothes that is now at our apartment to be....

If it makes you feel better, though, I took that picture after a night of walking downtown with just that combination of footwear on, in my Sunday skirt and shirt because I ran out of pantyhose and it was a little cool for bare legs.

In fact, we were remembering those walks downtown just today when we went there to go to the courthouse and pick up our marriage license!

Well, Cat.  I think you may just be happy.

Unfortunately I didn't have the socks when we were in Mesa, but we grabbed them on the way down to the reception as we had to stop in town to get some eegee's anyway (mmm...peach n berry....)

Well, we've been married 10 days now.  Life seems so much busier, but I guess with insurance, putting together a house, and still doing work and school...it's just life.  We sure do love it though!

And just for the record, we were in the hotel when I sent that message, and hubby was right there with me!  biggrin

We were at the hotel waiting for his family and the babysitters to arrive because we were going to the local melodrama theatre together. You may think we're crazy for hanging out with his family the day after we were married, but it was also a short family reunion for his family, and we were ok with it. So yeah, we were in the hotel lobby waiting, where there was a computer with free internet, so we got on, changed our marital status on facebook, and he thought it'd be funny if I posted on here. Since his second semester of summer school started the Monday after we were married, we're taking our official honeymoon in August (hopefully).

And by the way, sorry the dress is so dirty, but since I was renting I didn't worry about it too much since she told me not to. The temple grounds are so beautiful, but dirt is required for the plants to grow.
