LP prez candidates

I know it's still early, but why hasn't the Libertarian Party fielded any decent candidates?

The political philosophy of the LP most closely matches my own (with a few exceptions), but come on, does the LP even take their own candidates seriously?

Steve Kubby has pretty much built his campaign on the issue of decriminalizing marijuana.

George Phillies served in the military and is an educator and scientist, but he has little political experience.  And I just can't picture him interacting successfully with foreign heads of state.

Now Christine Smith:  She likes hiking and backpacking, astronomy, target practice with a large caliber handgun, reading, gardening, cooking, and music.  We could be great friends.  But I don't think she has what it takes to be president of the USA.  And her photo on her official campaign website makes her look like a real estate agent.

The only thing Jim Burns has been successful at is mounting unsuccessful campaigns.

And Doug Stanhope?  I guess if people elect governors like Jesse Ventura and Arnold Schwarznegger, other freaky stuff could happen.

I really really hope Mitt Romney or Ron Paul makes it through the primary.

I heard a rumor that Alan Keyes might try a third party run... but to tell you the truth, the Republican party is running so many DIFFERENT candidates, with so many differing backgrounds, right now that third parties really don't have an excuse to do anything...

There is a good Republican candidate, but Ron Paul doesn't have much chance to get the nomination. I don't think it's prudent on the part of the third parties to wait and see if Ron Paul will get the nomination before beginning to find their own candidates.

As far as I can see, even though there are a lot of candidates, only one represents the ideals of the Constitution Party.

A vote for 3rd party is a vote for Hillary... Hasten the second coming, vote 3rd party.....

Shiz, you know perfectly well that nothing we do or don't do will hasten the second coming.

I don't believe that to be an entirely true statement.

We can pray for it... the Lord has already told us that he will shorten the days for the elects sake.

As we put forth greater effort into spreading the gospel, I believe that will also have an effect.

As the world increases in wickedness; as we become more 'ripe', He will begin to preach His sermons. I believe that will have an effect.

No one knows the day or hour because it is all dependent upon our agency. What will be does not have to be.
