and delete it.  Actually delete all the "funnies" I posted.

Members of the Democratic party deserve a little respect and I didn't give it.  That was wrong.

I came with a funny I got in an e-mail, but like the pic, it too was tasteless.

My sincere apologies

... I don't think straight when I can't sleep.  They've all been deleted from my computer archives also.

When similar e-mails arrive, I will also be deleting.

Thanks for all you kindness

I've deleted the one with the picture. I'll look at other stuff as well.
I appreciate your efforts to self moderate. We did have a democratic poster once, and I have nothing against other democrats posting, as long as they follow the rules (that applies to everyone, of course; if a member of the constitution party wasn't following the rules I'd have to mod him as well)

I deleted the other image as well. Did you want me to delete the email?
Plus, if I've deleted anything I shouldn't have, let me know. It can be restored.

Mahonri, forgive me, but this seems to be a pattern with you: the posting of inappropriate "stuff" and then later deletion or editing.

It's admirable that you later recognize a slip, but editing doesn't undo what you said for those who read it.

This isn't an attack and no, I don't think you should stop posting. Just an observation. Perhaps it would be helpful if you were to rethink your posts before hitting the send button, rather than after.

It is easy to recommend what we feel would be prudent for others to do or have done from a third party hindsight perspective of what we may have done.

It is not as easy to graciously accept when one openly admits they have rethought posting something that may not have been appreciated by all, though.

Similarly, it is easy to tell others not to commit a sin.  But it is not as easy to forgive those who have, even though we are commanded to forgive all others for every trespass.  Let's be careful not to start casting stones or looking for motes.

I don't know how many people actually would have seen whatever it was that Mahonri posted he later asked to be removed and apologized for...  Hmmm... sounds like a roll call topic in and of itself.

Now, play nicely everybody, or I'm gonna have to flog myself with a wet noodle!    Of course, if the noodle is in some beef lo-mein... ummmmhhhhh.... it may not get past my mouth!

p.s. this is all just my thinking as a regular sort of guy on a topic I really have no vested interest or knowledge about...

Mahonri:

In general as a matter of personal raybian tastes, I don't post an email that is sent to me, just cuz chances are, everyone's seen it. There's just something phoney about email forwarding that--when I realize it isn't original from the poster--makes the comments less novel and less worth repeating--perhaps cuz it isn't original.

Other than that, I'm with Ros. I'm kicking my newfound sense of discipline in which I only get on the messageboards after work is over... sigh... it severely limits my ability to see "the real Mahorni hour"... a show I've thoroughly enjoyed...

I also enjoy the real Ros show, the Real Cat show, and the real Bokbadok show... along with all the others... etc... ad nauseum infinitum benedictum dona aeis requiem dominum... :)

Ray, you never miss the real Bokbadok show, because I don't post stuff and then change it later.  It's always there for you to cringe at, whenever you get time.

Oh, and Cat...

Same here, Bokky... unless I'm forced to edit, I don't.

In a way, I look at it as penance... that and I tend to amuse myself, when everyone else is sooooo serious. :)

Did I miss the big announcement, Ray?  Did you get hired?

I'd answer your question, but then Arbi will lock this thread too... Bad Ropey... Let's focus on showing love for Mahonri (and Bok) in the strictly moderator-ish sense...
