Spin off discussion -- Divorce Law Reforms

I came across this article, and it reminded me of some of the discussion we had a couple weeks back about marriage law in the discussion about same sex marriage proposals.

So, I wonder, is there now the beginnings of a movement to shore up marriage by doing away with "disposable" marriages via no-fault divorce? If so, is it in followup to the efforts to make sure marriage can not be redefined to suit whatever an individual wants?

I'm not sure that divorce law reform will work at this point. If you make it hard to get divorced, most people simply won't get married in the first place.

I think that the damage is already done by easy divorce law. If we fix it now it won't make people respect marriage. I think that the best way to save marriage is to teach people the eternal perspective, that is, the gospel. Then they might truly understand why marriage and families are valuable.
