Growth of Bountiful

It seems like we haven't had new members in a while.  And it seems like a fairly small core group participates actively here.

Is anyone interested in attracting more members?

If so, how do we go about that?

The answer is yes.  Right now we're not sure... it has been pretty much invitation or word of mouth.

As you can tell by looking at the list of registered members, there are only about 1/2 that have posted at least once, and then only about 1/4 - 1/3 that are actively involved in the forum.

Think we could scrape together enough for a 15 sec Superbowl halftime slot?

Maybe I could get something put in the ward bulletin

I have a link on my blog, but the only ones who read it are from here anyway.

Anybody know anything about public access cable?

I have a close friend who is compassionate, intelligent, and articulate in five languages.  He's also Jewish and gay.  Could we get him a waiver?

Maybe our board of esteemed moderators could create a nice invitation, something in PDF, that we could attach to an email distro to friends and family.

What about a flyer to post on campuses: BOUNTIFUL - HOOK UP WITH HOT COLLEGE GIRLS IN YOUR LOCAL AREA!  not really, but the discussion is pretty good.

I had an idea - maybe one of you could write a wikipedia article about this board, at www.wikipedia.org. They discourage site owners (such as me) from writing about their own sites, but if one of you did it that would be perfectly kosher. I don't know how much traffic it would get for us, but it would definitely be more than it is now.

I've been to many different Mormon forums but there are few that attract much in the way of traffic.  I don't know how much success there would be in actively trying to "market" Bountiful.  You could always go to another forum and cause so much ruckus they have to shut it down and then you can point everyone here.

I have little time for participating actively in one or two forums so I have to pick carefully.

The cyberworld is a cruel and lonely place...   I think it is best we hold a benefit concert for the underprivileged who have not yet found Bountiful.  Theme is along the lines of that famous musical / album by the Beatles... We could call it Silent Ninja's Baloney Tarts Club Band!

We could probably get more men in the church to participate if we got church-approved porn... Sadly I don't have such a connection...

Well, I think we could use more feminine topics and perspectives here, so I went to the members list, identified those who haven't participated in a while, and sent them an email invitation to join our discussions again.  Hope ya'll don't mind...

Blasphemy!  Burn him at the stake (as in make sure he falls and gets rug burns from the carpeted gym floor while playing basketball at the Stake Center)!

Actually, good call roper.  We need more than us four moderators inviting folks here.

They're always welcome to participate.  We have a definite different way of doing things here, and it is not what a lot of the ladies and non-participants are accustomed to.  I'm not sure many of the Nauvoodles feel comfortable with the difference.

I'm more than willing to be proven wrong in that assessment though, and I am unanimous in that!
