Which of the songs did you pick?

God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman.  It reminds me of Dickens Christmas Carol.

"0, Come, O, Come Immanuel."  It is very reverent and still, and evokes the spirit for me.  I also feel that the greatest miracle and wonder of Christmas is the Immanuel--the Son of God coming among humanity as a babe.

I picked O Come, O Come Immanuel too. I like the meaning "with us is God."

And it sounds really cool with a echoing chant-type vocal...or with a harmonization that changes key on the last note...or sung by an aging Jewish rock singer...

You know, I almost chose "O Come, O Come Emmanuel", but that 4th verse in "I Heard The Bells on Christmas Day" just gets me everytime and I nearly start bawling!

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep
God is not dead nor doth he sleep
The wrong shall fail the right prevail
With peace on earth, good will to men!
