BTW, Bok, you'll be happy to know that I'm going to be buying an axe to start killing my chickens. Most of them have stopped laying, and are only good for meat anymore.

Well, I was going to, until my mom said that I might get them laying again if I put some cheap cat food in with their pellets. So, we'll see. We'll probably wind up killing a few anyway. It's too bad that I can't invite a vegetarian over to watch

Okay, now you've got me wondering. Did you hens stop laying for the winter, or because they're spent?

How old are they? When did they start to lay?
