Evidently, at the time I'm writing this, it's still unclear whether the constitutional amendment against gay marriage will pass in Arizona, but it's trailing a few points. That's a disappointment. It was a hard race in Colorado, but we did win it, and by a good margin. So, Euphrasie, why couldn't you deliver Arizona?

I voted for 107 to pass. Turns out we lost by 2%...only 49% of the people voted for the ban. Unfortunately we have a high percentage of homosexual people in Arizona. I work in a Pest Control office and many of the people we service are living with their "partners". I never would have realized how high the percentage is otherwise, but it really is pretty bad. Apparantly in my old high school (I graduated in 2004) it's now the "in" thing to be bisexual and go both ways. This world is falling faster than ever.

I think even if it had passed, the courts would have eventually fouled it up. No one wants to be labeled a bigot for supporting traditional marriage. I think that probably hurts the campaign for these types of bills.
