It would be nice to say that I watched local news and read newspapers, but I don't. Local news channels are too local, and the newspapers are too delayed in what I have become accustomed to in receiving news. Besides, the newspapers in my area really kind a suck...

With TV, print, and internet finely segmented, why is radio all lumped together under "talk radio?"
I get most of my news from our local public radio station, which provides local news, NPR's (is that a four-letter-word here?) Morning Edition and All Things Considered, and the radio broadcast of BBC World Service.
