Winners of AML fiction contest


Was just looking for something newsworthy to share, and this was the best I came across:

It is great that they have this contest, I guess, but what sort of contest is it if there are only 57 entries, and out of the entries 4 are winners with an additional 3 getting honorable mention... at that rate, one's odds of being recognized for the submission are nearly 1 in 12.


Question I have, is who gets to be one of the entrants into the contest?  Does anyone know anything or have any experience with this Association of Mormon Letters?  To me, it sounds like from reading their website, that they are a sort of intellectual mutual admiration society of sorts...
