The heinous things that mortal men do to one another.
Stories like this are part of the reason I don't often read/watch news.
I know that others will say that this sort of thing has always gone on, we just didn't hear about it as often. I don't believe that theory. In my mind, this is one of those signs of the last days that you asked about. "The love of men shall wax cold" This brings up another point. I would have a hard time believing that her captor was sane. But, if they had arrested him, I wouldn't have agreed with not trying him because he was insane. I think his insanity resulted from conscious decisions on his part, and thus anything that results from it really is his fault.

Oh, bokbadok! That's so horrible. It makes me sick, too. I tend to agree with arbilad's comments. It's so sad to think of how much of her life was spent in captivity.
