I think that the FLDS church will survive the arrest of their leader. They seem to be less a cult of personality than some organizations. Besides, he can still give them direction from prison.

I wonder if he was on his way to do some "investing", catch a stage show, and visit a wedding chapel or two in Lost Wages when the trooper pulled the car over... I mean, doesn't the ad campaign say what happens here stays here?

Now that's funny. I'm glad Jeffs is in jail. I really hated it though when several news organizations would label him as some sort of fundamentalist mormon while having the Salt Lake Temple as a backdrop. Most people are too lazy to find out that he has nothing to do with our faith. I'm sure that if Mitt Romney decides to run for president we will be inundated with stories of Mormon Polygamy again as if Mitt himself had a harem of wives hidden in his office. Burns me up!
Whenever I hear criticism raised against the church for going after these polygamist guys, I remind folks about the common criticism that Islam gets for doing to little to round up their own radical fringe groups... :)

The Attourney General was on Fox News a while back and was asked why the state didn't agressively go after all the polygamists in the state. His reply drove me crazy at first. He basically said there were not enough prisons in Utah to hold them all so they only went after the major bad guys such as Jeffs when it came to Polygamy. I thought, "That's no excuse for not enforcing the law!" Then someone told me how many prisons you folks in Utah actually have. We have more prisons in my county in California than the entire state of Utah. Made some sense after that. Limited resouces. I am concerned though that Utah has not gotten Jessica's Law passed. I wondered if the large Polygamy movement was the cause. Maybe you can enlighten me as to why Utah has not done much with Jessica's law?
