I participated in the 15 April Tea Party in Gilbert, AZ as one of several manning the table of the Maricopa County Constitution Party, of which I am the treasurer.  We took in substantial donations and made a lot of people aware of the CPs existence and goals.  My participation in the CP, the JBS and the East Valley Tea Party has made me increasingly aware that most people who fancy themselves "conservative" are actually more "liberal" than they think.

And BTW, Mirkwood and DMGNUT, there were a few folks openly packing heat just to exercise the right,  and a small group of women promoting their gun rights organization.  

I must add that our Maricopa County Sheriff, Joe Arpaio, was there as a guest speaker in support of legislation designed to curtail illegal immigration.   I've heard him speak before, and he can be quite humourous.   He even told us about his .50 Cal. MG that he acquired.
