What should we expect a Captain Moroni to do for us at this stage of the game?  We certainly are ripe for destruction.  I no longer have the book, but somewhere in "The Teaching of the Prophet Joseph Smith", around Page 70-71, is a statement about a "cleansing" of America.  To the best of my failing memory, there have been recorded prophecies about such an event that will wipe out a large segment of the American population.  But for now, those "murderous combinations" that Moroni wrote and warned us about in Ether 8: 20-25 seem to have clearly gotten above us.   Back in the October 1988 General Conference the Prophet warned us that   "A secret combination that seeks to overthrow the freedom of all lands, nations and countries is increasing its evil influence and control over America and the entire world."
