What loss of freedoms ?

A newsletter written by one of the better supporters of constitutional principles in our AZ state legislature ended with the following sentence:  "The burden is now with the states to prioritize the passage of sovereignty legislation at once to shield its citizens and their children, your children and everyones grandchildren from the pending loss of liberty."  I use the work "freedom" in lieu of "liberty" because I understand it better.

Our FedGov has systematically put in place laws, policies, and bureaucracies that can, are, and will continue to strip the American citizenry of the constitutional protections of their liberties, including:

1.) The freedom to spend our income as we choose, and to control that property that is taxed away from us and given as welfare and foreign aid, regardless of what we might think of the recipients entitlement to it

2.) The freedom to keep and carry guns of our choosing in public places of our choosing

3.) The freedom to worship unmolested

4.) The freedom to speak out against activities we consider immoral

5.)The freedom to influence the education of our children

6.) The freedom to be safe in our papers and personal effects, and safe from unreasonable searches and seizures

7.) The freedom from possible incarceration as a supposed enemy of the state without supporting evidence

8.) The freedom of access to certain medical remedies, especially homeopathic remedies, that are unapproved by certain FedGov agencies

9.) The freedom from invasion by illegal aliens

For sme years now, among the people I usually associate with, especially in church, I note little concern and much ignorance about these freedoms and their shrinkage.  I even note some scorn at my concern for them.  Generally speaking, here is my summation of reactons to each of these concerns:

1.) We've got to help those that need our help, and government can administer that help most effectively.

2.) It is dangerous to permit than law enforcement and military personnel to carry guns in public places

3.) That could become a problem, but the Lord will guide us thru that challenge when it arises.

4.) Props 102 in AZ and 8 in CA Re. homosexual marriage did have some scary moments

5.) Concern about this is growing, and some parents are getting involved in what is going on in public schools

6.) What's the problem?  If we always do the "right" things, we should not have to fear.

7.) Only radicals and people who do stupid things should expect such treatment.

8.) We need the protection of the AMA and the FDA to prevent us from doing ourselves harm.

9.) We need to be willing to share our wealth and the Gospel with the poor people in other countries.
