Two evenings ago I was in an organized group discussion about Arizona government which got off on a tangent about preparedness, which happens easily these days. The group included about 20 women and only 4 men. When the topic of personal protection came up, I asked "Just how many of you ladies pack heat ?" Most of them, including the 2 AZ state senators and the assistant to one of them said that they did and had the permit required by Arizona law to carry a pistol concealed. And not a single one of them was or admitted to being related to Wyatt Earp.
I think that's a good thing. And you know, the Wild West actually wasn't as wild as movies made it out to be. There weren't daily shootings, etc. Most people were polite because most people carried.
