According to a congressman from Georgia, there is a good chance that Obama will form a Gestapo like security agency to bring about socialism in the US.

Obama will give the United Sstates the biggest leap in socialist redistribution of private wealth and benefits since George Bush masqueraded as a conservative.
Lew Rockwell, a Libertarian political commentator and proponent of the Austrian School of economics had tis to say about what an Obama nation will mean in the long term: "I predict that, under Obama, taxes and government spending will increase, government regulation and control over our lives will increase, economic disorder will increase, state police powers will increase, and imperialistic wars will continue unimpeded (and likely increase). In short, the political establishment will continue to pursue its agenda - without a break in meter - regardless of who it places on the throne. In the words of Emma Goldman: 'If voting changed anything, they'd make it illegal.'"

Yeah, that squad Obama talked about doesn't sound real good, does it?

Good to see you back Smaug! And yes, a "civilian security organization", with as much power and funding as the military, does not sound good for freedom, does it? And I didn't expand or think up any of that. Those are the words that Obama used.

And this is the reason the creators of our constitution left the people with a way to remove people from office. I see little talk about the Impeachment process. This works at all levels of the government. So it doesn't matter that who has control over the house/senate.
Elected officials work for the people, and the people ultimately have a say in how the govt should be run. We are the ones who give them power. If only they would all remember that

From my perspective, the ballot box is dead, and this last election proves it beyond any doubt. The same Congress, with a whopping 17 new faces, will go back in less than two months. Many of our elected officials, including our Congress, are very much beholden to the wealthy and powerful who bankroll their efforts to get elected and re-elected. They swear an oath to uphold the Constitution, and other than TX Rep. Ron Paul, none of them do and we let them get away with it. In fact, I believe that most Americans approve of many of their violations of the Constitution. And for the benefit of the LDS members of this forum, most LDSs dont know the difference and/or dont care, as is easily demonstrated by the record of LDS politicians.
Americas Constitution is, as Al Gore and the Clintons called it, a "living breathing document" because Gods Word is no longer the rock upon which all law stands. We need to reclaim the Constitution if our Republic is to be saved.
Lawless is abounding in America. Bankers openly steal from the people, government hands out money in violation of the Constitution and thus in violation of their oath, voter fraud runs rampant, and our new president may not even be eligible to be president.
"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." (John Adams)
And speaking of the 2 finalists in the race for the White House: Both are rigidly backed by important members of the Trilateral Commission who hijacked the Executive Branch of the U.S. government starting in 1976 with the election of Jimmy Carter.
Obamas was being supported and coached by Zbigniew Brzezinski (co-founder of the Commission in 1973) as his principal advisor on foreign policy. Ex-Fed Chairman Paul Volker made a once-in-a-lifetime, glowing endorsement of Obama. Madelyn Albright was seen sitting next to Obama in several conferences. Even Jimmy Carter himself endorsed Obama. All are top members of the Commission.
John McCain was being supported and coached by several Trilateral Commission giants including: Henry Kissinger, George Schultz, Lawrence Eagleburger and Alexander Haig. All of these are ex-Secretaries of State who issued a joint endorsement of McCain early-on in his campaign
Yup, people are voting for one or the other heads of the hydra.

I read the article and it doesn't make sense to me. I fail to see how a police force can enforce socialism. If private enterprise were to be totally forbidden as it was in Russia years ago, and police were employed to detect and apprehend people engaged in private enterprise as was the case in Russia, I guess that would be what we are talking about. At one time it was illegal in Russia to make things at home like sweaters, boutique stuff, etc. for sale.
I think the good congressman doesn't know what he is talking about, or just trying to make people scared of Obama.
