My day as an election judge

I was an election judge (poll worker) yesterday. Other than it being a really long shift for very low pay, it was an interesting experience. I loaded up smart cards for the voters to use in the voting machines. I was the only third party person I met during the day. Maybe the other third party voters went to the other election judges for their smart cards. There was a ton of unaffiliated voters. I'd venture to say maybe more than any of the major parties.
Anyway, it depressed me in a way, because I saw how ridiculously easy it would be to cheat the election using the electronic voting machines. I don't think that the election was totally fixed, but I think that many races were.

You mean like if we had all one party workers at a particular site who just sat there plugging extra cards in all day long and voting for a specific candidate to increase thier numbers?   Nah....things like that couldn't happen in America. rolleyes

Help me out...how did you know their parties?  I saw nothing to indicate my party when I voted here in Indy.

BTW, to answer Beef's question, in Weld County, Colorado, when you vote, you present a signature card which lists your name, date of birth, party affiliation, etc.

Interesting.  We just have to give our name...some places ask for picture ID.  My friend said that she wasn't asked for ID.  I told her to tell them she registered with ACORN...that would clear things up.
