Sarah Palin plans to homeschool

Sarah Palin is planning to homeschool her kids.
They're really trying to pull in disaffected conservative voters. I'd still rather gnaw off my own foot than vote for McCain, but I have to admit that they're going to pull in a lot of conservative voters with this. I know one guy at work who said that there was no chance that he'd vote for McCain, but now he's singing a different tune after hearing Palin's speech. He's even planning to donate to the McCain campaign now.

Ok, I've read the article now and can comment properly. The article mentioned how busy Sarah Palin will be very busy and I'm wondering why the seeming assumption that it will be her to do the homeschooling. My guess is that it will be Todd Palin who runs the homeschool. I already read somewhere that the plan was for him to stay at home with the children. (I'd source it, but I can't remember where I read that little tidbit.)

Anyway, in my view this seems more like a family in a very unique circumstance trying to best take care of their children and mitigate potential negative effects of that circumstance. It doesn't feel like pandering for votes to me.

That's pretty much what I was thinking, that she's not choosing to homeschool because she thinks it will win votes, but rather that sort of decision is part of who she is, which is why McCain (or his handlers) picked her because who she is will help bring in votes.
