Democrats don't pay gas tax while wanting to raise yours

The democrat convention committee in Denver has been filling up using city fuel pumps and has, until now, been avoiding gas taxes. And yet they're keen to raise everyone else's gas tax. How's that for hypocrisy?

I'm not surprised. Neither would I be surprised if Republicans were doing the same thing. I suspect they are bilking everyone else just as badly. They preach small government, yet spend enormous amounts. They preach anti-abortion, yet do nothing to stop it. There is hypocrisy in all politicians. It is about power and self-aggrandizement. I trust no politician, especially when it comes to "moral" issues.

The Mayor of Denver actually said that the Republicans were doing the same thing in Minneapolis, but they denied the charge. Who knows what the actual truth is?
And you're right, Organist, the Republicans preach small government, but that's not what we get.
