I thought it would be nice to have a thread about how our children learn or live the gospel. For instance, my two year old won't be quiet during family scripture study unless he has a Book of Mormon to hold. He can't read it, but he wants to be like the rest of the family. And he'll frequently fold his arms and say "Amen" at the end of the prayer. He's a destructive little rascal, but the gospel is already important to him.

I've probably told this story before, but it was pretty profound to me. Two Christmases ago we were driving around looking at lights. We were having some discussion about why we celebrate Christmas, and from the back of the car my (at the time) 2-year-old quietly said, "Jesus loves me. Jesus loves me!". She really knew it, and meant it. It was one of the sweeter experiences I've had.

During sacrament meeting, our 2.5 year old tornado can be a handful. But when they say opening or closing prayer, he obediently sits and does something similar to folding his arms, even if a moment ago he was raising cain.
