The good thing about being mad

is that I get lots of cleaning done. My kitchen looks awesome! It's nice to have it back in proper order.

What do you do when you're having "big feelings" (as I call them to my kids)?

Cleaning or exercising or praying, well always praying both on my knees and in my heart when I can't be on my knees.

Play lots of vigorous Beethoven.

Or eat. (that one's not so good)

I pace. Back and forth.

I don't believe a two-legged animal can pace. Just sayin'.

I mutter to myself, having practice conversations so I know what I'm going to say if a confrontation takes place. Of course I always get the last word.

Oh bok, I do that, too. I'm amazingly witty and eloquent in pretend conversations.

I come up with the best zingers in pretend conversations. And my audience is suitably devastated and apologetic.

I wish that I got cleaning done when I was mad. Instead, being angry makes me feel tired and worn out. If I'm really upset I get sleepy.

My husband learned years ago that if he walks through the doors at the end of the day to a fabulously clean house and great smells wafting from the kitchen, that I'm in a great mood. So it's in everyone's best interests that I'm happy. wink.gif

MrCoco has pretend conversations all the time. He's very animated and if only I could read lips... Most of the time I'm like, "Who you talking to? Tell me!" rofl.gif

Dude. I was muttering at the TV last night. Xanth came in to bring me a snack (yes, he's nice like that) and had to ask, "Were you talking to the TV?" "Um, yeah." sheepish.gif
