"Consumers are feeling worse about their personal finances and prospects - far worse than government statistics about the economy would indicate."
How do you feel about the economy? Do you think it's going to improve? Do you think it we're in for far worse in the near future?

Like the cheery news I heard on CBS Radio News yesterday - that retailers are facing their worst recession in 75 years. Think about that a bit. 75 years ago, we had a depression, not a recession.

Things in the overall economy don't look good, but my own personal economy is looking fine. We haven't changed any spending habits. In fact, I've injected over $15,000 of discretionary spending into the economy in within the last six months!
Yes, my personal economy is still fine also. My concern is just wondering if the general economy will get bad enough to effect my personal economy.

Some day I'll be a doctor and make a lot of money. I think I'll be making a lot more $ than I now dream about, not because I'm that much better of a doctor, but rather because the government has caused such tremendous inflation with their wars, spending, and monetary policies.
