This makes me very sad.

So called 'Gay Rights' have trumped the family. I hate to think what has been unleashed.

Good grief. Sad indeed. And sick to my stomach.

I've been mulling this over. What's almost as sad as the fact that this happened is the fact that it's not too surprising, to me atleast. Pop culture has been working on this outcome (and more) for years and years. How many subtle barbs have been shot at the husband and father in tv, movies and other media? How many times are women told they can do it all by themselves? It's become so much a part of our culture that even the social conservatives among us start to believe some of it. I've heard references of husbands as bungling, stupid or helpless from RS leaders even. We've stopped respecting fathers as a society. That the legislature is beginning to catch up to this idea is hardly surprising.

I've actually felt the same way, hic, that this type of thing was on its way. You know what I think is next to go? Child support. I mean, why not? The man has no rights in the first place, why should he be on the line at the whim of the woman? She could go get an abortion and he'd have no say in the matter. But she wants to keep the baby and boy, he better be ready to fork out the money for 18 long years. Whatever...

I wonder what no child support might do to the birth rates...? confuse.gif

Wow, this is just sad and sick.  It scares to think of our fallen our society has gone and continues its descent.  I'm off to read JSM in the POGP...sprint.gif

I'm thinking no child support would be very interesting. It would separate the men from the boys, wouldn't it? Men would pay anyway. Boys wouldn't. I'm not sure what no child support would do to the birth rates, because there's still welare and other government aid. I'm guessing the government wouldn't like having to shell out more money, so they've got an interest in keeping child support around.
