Well, I was getting myself mentally prepared for the springtime cleaning up after ma dawg. It's not my favorite thing, but he is mine, after all.
And then it went and snowed again. Yeesh. (You see, I wasn't kidding when I said that Albertans don't plant gardens at the beginning of April.)
So I envision a Saturday of household chores, some grocery shopping, maybe taking the clan swimming. Sunday means breakfast in bed - as much as that is possible with 9:00 church - and possibly a little chocolate and a nap later on.

Oh, yeah, Mother's Day... I've been getting waited on most of this week. I think by Sunday I'll be ready for my family to stop it.

I've decided that for big excitement, I'm going to go to visit Walmart tonight. I might even make use of one of the those ride and shop scooters that are always running out of juice in random places in the store.

Today we all went with kindergartner on her field trip to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden. That wore me out. 1yo has no fear of just taking off... never wants to be with the group... he's some sort of Lewis and Clark type... doens't even look back for ya ONCE! Then tonight I went to work. I'm feeling kinda'... weird... now. Not sure if I'm fighting off something or what.
Tomorrow I want to do as little as possible and go for a horseback ride with my daughter later in the evening.
Sunday we're all going out to dinner with my parents. Yeah, I'm a sinner.

What's everyone doing this Memorial weekend? We have family coming in for the MrHic's baptism and I'm running around trying to get some stuff clean. I'm really behind from the surgery and in general being a lump this spring. It will be a lovely weekend, though and whatever doesn't get clean just doesn't.

My long weekend was last weekend (Victoria day on Monday) - Saturday was regular chores, grocery shopping, etc., played a game of Heroes with the boys, Sunday was... well, Sunday, and Monday we went on a road trip to Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump. Very cool.
Which is just as well, because last weekend was beautiful, and this weekend it's raining. However, neatness for me, there's a country-wide stake conference happening this weekend, with the broadcast coming out of Toronto.

I'd like to go look at graves and stuff but with gas prices... I'm sure the deceased really don't give a flip anyway. (Seeing the new headstone is cool, bok, so don't go acidic on me.)

R&R. I spent 20 of the last 48 hours working on that ward activity. If we can find a sitter MrHic and I might go see Iron man. If not, maybe I can dip into the June budget a day early and we'll all go see the new Narnia flick.

Well, this weekend we had a much-speculated-on meeting with all three wards in the brand-new chapel. And now we have four wards in our little town and the surrounding acreages. Not bad for 17,000 people, eh?
And to think that in 1982 the very first ward in town was formed.
