I can't really explain it. But I do know that the planet doesn't really have a food shortage problem, and hasn't for decades. It has a food distribution problem.

The UN is a horribly inefficient relief organization. They are bad at distributing food and aid. It'd be better to give your money to many other more honest aid organizations.
