Our storehouse is full

Went to our Bishop's Storhouse yesterday to do drypacking and they had everything in great quantities. Those of us that went were able to pack what we intended to pack. There was even bags of white wheat, not many but enough for the couple of people that wanted a bag each. Plenty of rice, we did 5 cases and there was still lots on the pallet.

Our storehouse even had pre-packaged (in cans) cases of red wheat, rice, quick oats, pinto beans, and one other thing but I can't remember. They had lots of cases of each for members to come in and purchase without having to spend the time canning it up. A couple of people came in to pick up  stuff to take home to pack and when they saw that some of the stuff  was already done they bought it.

Well, I will not be going to do drypacking till after our move, hubby says between food storage, fabric and books the truck is practically filled already.

Back to our home state of CA, the southern part. My hubby is already there working, staying with his parents. Me and the stuff will be moving after Girl's Camp the last week of July.

There are many things that I miss about Southern California, but the cost of living isn't one of them. Still, there's a lot to be said for California. The church is very strong out there, you have great beaches, a lot of stuff to do. No snow shoveling in the winter.

The no shoveling snow depends on where you live, even in So CA. But yeah, my hubby is so looking forward to a winter with no shoveling of the white stuff, especially after 11 winters here and 2 in north east OR (where it snows). As much as I love to look at the white stuff from the comfort of my warm home, I hate driving in it!!!! So when hubby and any kids go up to Big Bear to snowboard/ski I will stay down in the valley, thank you very much!! And though I grew up near the beach, I don't like it very much. Other than that I am a So Cali girl!!!
