High Definition

For those of you who actually watch TV and movies, what do you think of high definition?  Is it worth it?  Do you want it?  If you already have it, do you like it?

My husband and I have had a high-def TV for 2 years now but no high def programming.  For our anniversary next month, though, we are going to get the HD DVR and programming from our satellite company and I have to say I'm actually kind of giddy about it.  Full wide screen!  Incredible detail!  But I'm not sure i'm getting myself worked up over nothing.  What do you think?

(And yes, I have lots of wheat in storage already and I ordered more food storage just this week so :P  We have no kids, so it's easier to get stuff like this.)

If you can get both, I don't see a problem with it. It's when people get toys instead of food storage that there's a problem. Of course, there are those who spend all their discretionary income on food storage, but that's their choice.
I've seen the high definition stuff in the store and, honestly, it doesn't do much for me. But if that's what interests you, and you're not going into debt or neglecting your food storage to do it, then I say go for it. I've noticed that my tastes frequently aren't the same as the mainstream.

Rice is good stuff. Although as I was reminded at a sushi restaurant yesterday, it's hard to eat rice with chopsticks. Even though I'm not that bad with chopsticks. This place was seriously hardcore. It's run by a former world champion kick boxer, it has what some consider the best sushi in Boulder, and I didn't see any forks anywhere. I assume they're available if you ask.

Has to be sticky rice or something... confuse.gif

So... is it safe to assume you're not keeping chopsticks in your year's supply?

Can you imagine looking at rice in HD?!?!?! headbang.gif
