Orson Scott Card sometimes hits one out of the park with his articles and sometimes falls flat on his face. I think this is one instance of falling flat on his face.

He spends a huge chunk of the article talking about why he thinks Intelligent Design is wrong. The film, as he even admits, didn't set out to prove whether ID was right or wrong. It set out to show the hypocrisy of the scientific community for ostracizing anyone who thought it might be right.

I took it as he spent a lot of the article talking about why ID couldn't be taught as a scientific principle, not that it was wrong. I might have to go re-read it. confuse.gif

Yeah, it wasn't an exciting read, that's for sure. I do get that way with some of his op-ed pieces. I find myself skimming them.
