It was discussed privately among the moderators, and the moderators have decided to change the intent of this forum and the method of moderation on the board.
From now on, The moderators will simply take action as they see fit. There will be no more public or private notification of the moderation taken. Those who are moderated are free to discuss said moderation here...
Further there are no actual rules about contacting a moderator, therefore feel free to PM moderators if anything on the board offends you, and things will get fixed one way or another.
As to whether this or that discussion will be moderated or locked is a matter of "we'll see what happens."
Anyhow, that's for the folks who may be confused by the sudden disappearance of a thread or comment...

PS> SO the intent of this forum is for the public discussion of moderation decisions that are no longer made public.

What? I'm a little confused. Here is my understanding from what is here. Please tell me where I'm wrong.
There will no more be anthing public about moderation. If a thread or post is deleted (and the originator didn't do it), then it was done by a moderator. No discussion nor notification will be given prior or after said moderation.
Is that right?

I have had to take the unfortunate action of banning Ray for grossly exceeding his authority, misrepresenting current policy, outright lying about a discussion amongst moderators. I am frankly shocked by Ray's actions, and it pains me to do it, but it seems that I have no alternative but to ban him from further participation. He is welcome to come back if he is willing to live by the rules of Bountiful.

I'd say he added in a regular sprinkling of #5, as well:
5. Your opinion may be better than someone else's, but that does not give you license to use personal attacks, harsh language, or to give the impression that if only they were as intelligent as you, they would agree with you.

Precedent would suggest that it's not. Coco's been using that word for months on end and has never been disciplined for it. The shock value wore off long ago... except for those who don't waste their time here. :)
FYI, I've been deleting posts to keep things civil.
