Pope-itude!

http://www.catholicnews.com/data/stories/cns/0802159.htm

Saw this on nauvoo. Cool that two apostles could meet with the pope.  When I served a mission in Rome, we presented Book of Mormon and first discussion to the US Ambassador to the Holy See. Sounds like the Pope didn't quite get a first discussion, though. :) As missionaries we were welcome in the Vatican to visit like any tourist. I got to go to Midnight Mass on a Christmas (1989), saw John Paul II in St. Peter's Basilica. We got to sing the songs for the Mass, it was an amazing spectacle to see the place lit up. There's a LOT of gold in there, and with all that light, it really glows...  doesn't really get much light when you visit as a tourist cuz they don't turn on any lights during the day.

I've been to the Vatican. You know it has its own zip code? Like it's its own little city.

ray, that's awesome!  I would exaggerate a bit on your story (if it were me).  Just say that you gave a BoM to the Pope.  Then, maybe taking it a little further and saying that he asked you to make sure to do his baptism after he died--he couldn't get baptized while alive because then he'd have to give up his hat and Pope-mobile and the tax ramifications were tremendous.

Pssst, coco.  It is.  It is a sovereign city-state.
